the edgy volume: hot takes, funeral cards, seismographs, wanted posters, county-fair ribbons. punch at chaos, never at growers — and every joke had to be nameable in one sentence or the card died.

1 · Overlap detector
CLEAN — per-collection loops during build, then full-file render of the assembled gallery: 144 cards, 0 flagged, nothing to adjudicate. The one dup-id block at assembly was 24 decorative Illustrator layer ids in the shared symbols — stripped, re-assembled clean.
2 · Adversarial design review
18/18 PASS — a different agent per collection viewed every PNG and fixed weak cards directly: 53 fixed, 2 rebuilt outright.
3 · Register gate
18/18 PASS — everything reads Hothouse or dead-straight physical-format parody; no Vol. 1 heritage or Vol. 3 site-register drift survived review.
4 · Copy gate
CLEAN, 0 FIXES — mechanical greps (embargo names, ™ law, tagline casing, chips) plus a full judgment sweep of punch direction, number audit, tone, and sentence-register. Banned corporate words appear only on the two sanctioned joke cards (haz-08, dark-06), every one visually struck through — PNG-verified.
5 · The Fridge Test
144/144 NAMED — reviewers named every card's joke in one sentence; the full log ships in the source zip (logs/fridge-log.json).

The rotated-stamp massacre (take). Round one flagged all 8 broadsides at once: rotated red seals inflate their axis-aligned text boxes, so every PENDING line "collided" with its own title. The generator recomputed rotation-aware bounding boxes per card, cut the stamps taller, and then discovered the rubber-ink turbulence filter was shredding the small type — softened from baseFrequency 0.12 to 0.055. Eight clean stamps, still wobbly like rubber ink should be.
Two cards executed and replaced (dark). The reviewer couldn't name two jokes, so per the gate the cards died: rebuilt as the koru drawn by an oscilloscope that "has never once been off," and the DVD-screensaver lockup with a trajectory proof of the corner hit — CONTACT · WK 14. it hits the corner exactly once per spring.
The stamp that sliced its own punchline (inv-02). The QUARANTINE stamp straddled the plate boundary and the plate edge cut straight through "DO NOT PAY ANY OF THE THREE" — the card's best line, made its least legible. The reviewer moved the stamp, then rebuilt the bottom band into proper field-guide grammar and added a LOOK-ALIKES section: "Often mistaken for a real order. The real order appears once, ships once, and is invoiced once."
The monotone slab (take-05). Nine identical 70px lines read like terms and conditions, not a verdict. Rebuilt as a clause wall that tightens to "THAT'S A PERSON." and pays off with the raise in acid — jam wording untouched.
